Who do you trust the most for Admission Advice

Who are your best advisors when choosing where to go to college: parents, guidance counselors, friends?? Who is the least helpful? Any funny stories?

I read different blogs on education >>> the howtogetin blog is a good resource
But I advise talking to teachers, counselors, parents, siblings and friends to find more resources that can help, and to ask for advice. It is important to have support while going through the college admissions process and all of these people can help with that.
